Lieutenant General Richard Wardlaw OBE was appointed as the first Chief of Defence Logistics and Support in October 2019, and is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of a cross-cutting, pan-Defence strategy for Support, a c£14-billion/annum enterprise covering every facet of Engineering and Logistic Support. Commissioned by The Queens Gurkha Engineers, I captured General Wardlaw at the London Studio. The final Portrait to hang in the Regimental Mess.
The fourth British Leader of my career. I was recently commissioned to capture a portrait of former Prime Minister Theresa May; who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party from 2016 to 2019.
This month I was delighted to capture a portrait of Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the highest ranking member of the Catholic Church in England & Wales. The sitting took place on location at the Cardinals Palace attached to Westminster Cathedral.
Helen Wood was appointed Speaker’s Secretary on the election of Sir Lindsay Hoyle as the 158th Speaker of the House of Commons. I was delighted to capture Helen on location at the House of Parliament last month.

Sarah Clarke OBE was appointed as the new Black Rod in November 2017. She formally took on the duties as Lady Usher of the Black Rod in February 2018. Sarah Clarke was the first woman to be appointed to the office in its more than 650-year history.
The Major-General commanding the Household Division commands the Household Division of the British Army. He is also General Officer Commanding London District. The Major- General has sole responsibility for the Service aspect of all State and ceremonial occasions within London District, having executive command of the Household Division.
Ugbana Oyet is the Serjeant at Arms. The Serjeant at Arms is responsible for keeping order within the Commons part of the parliamentary estate. There are also some ceremonial aspects to the role. Oyet agreed to sit for me at Parliament as part of a new Parliamentary Portrait Project I’m currently working on.
The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment are probably the most famous of the mounted soldiers in the world. I’m no stranger to working with this elite unit having captured the Regiment for Soldiery British Army Portraits in 2016.
Returning to Kensington Palace last week, His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Duke of Kent commissioned a new R.A.F Uniform Portrait. My second sitting with H.R.H it was exciting to have a catchup and discuss the impact of my first portrait commission.
Serving from the rank of Private Solider to Lieutenant General is a remarkable achievement. Upon watching the story of his career on a British Army Youtube video, I promptly invited Lieutenant General Lorimer to sit for a portrait at the London Studio.
Philippa took over as the Commanding Officer of the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (Princess Royal's Volunteer Corps) in July 2017. This appointment follows a career that started as an Army officer in the Royal Corps of Signals.
