In 2022, I had the honor of photographing Ray Dalio, an iconic figure in the financial industry, at my New York studio. As the founder of Bridgewater Associates, the largest hedge fund globally, Ray was at a pivotal moment in his career, stepping down as co-chief investment officer.
The session aimed to encapsulate Ray’s forward-thinking mindset and the reflective nature of his remarkable journey. With limited previous portraits of Dalio available, I approached the project with a fresh perspective, utilizing dramatic lighting and direction to create a series of compelling images that captured his visionary spirit. The resulting portraits not only celebrated his contributions to the financial world but also left a lasting legacy of his influence and character.
Case Study 2: Elevating Corporate Identity – LVMH Makeup Forever Team
The New York team of LVMH Makeup Forever approached me to create a series of corporate headshots that would align with their brand’s elegance and professionalism. They opted for classic black-and-white portraits, removing distractions and focusing entirely on the essence of each individual.
The session was conducted on-site at their Manhattan office, where I set up a mini-studio tailored to their needs. Each team member was guided through the process to ensure they felt comfortable and confident. The final images exuded sophistication and cohesion, serving as a powerful representation of their brand’s identity.
