The exhibition, in collaboration with the British Embassy in Washington DC 11th October 2022, recently found its way to the prestigious Omni Shoreham Hotel. This special event paid homage to the legendary General Sharon Nesmith and highlighted the profound bond between the United Kingdom and the United States.

The Soldiery project aimed to create a contemporary reflection of historical portraiture, showcasing the diversity and cherished heritage of the British Army. Rory Lewis embarked on an ambitious journey, traveling across the country to 23 geographically and culturally diverse regiments. With each portrait, Lewis captured the unique identity, traditions, and rich history of iconic regiments, from The Royal Lancers to The Household Cavalry, The Gurkhas, and the Parachute Regiment. This extensive collection successfully portrayed the evolving face of the British Army in the 21st century.
